November 25, 2023 marks the 22 year anniversary of the Battle of Qala-i-Jangi and the date of the first American killed in what became Operation Enduring Freedom. Johnny Micheal Spann was not only the first American killed in the conflict, but also the first CIA officer killed since 9/11. Since that time the Agency has added a staggering total of 52 stars to the Memorial Wall.
The front of the shirt is an artist rendition of Mi-17 helicopter used by the CIA's Northern Alliance Liaison Team (NALT) just after 9/11, that now anchors one corner of the green lot at CIA HQS.
The back is the Memorial Wall located in the lobby of the Original Headquarters Building, updated to include its current size as of 2023 and accompanied by the wall's heading "IN HONOR OF THOSE MEMBERS OF THE CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY" Below the field of stars we have made the addition of the rear stabilizer markings painted onto the Mi-17 in red, "USA" and the red stripes from old glory.
To honor and support those who gave so completely of themselves IA Hqs has dedicated a percentage of profits from this sale to be split between the CIA Officers Memorial Foundation and the Third Option Foundation.
